Santa Cristina Chianti Superiore 0.75 2019

Region: Chianti DOCG Superiore         Variety: Sangiovese & Merlot           Santa Cristina winery came into existence in 2006 with the goal of acknowledging and renewing the tradition of the wine known by the same name, 60 years after the release of its first vintage in 1946. The two varieties were fermented separately and differently in order to achieve one extraordinary wine.The wine is aged 9 months in oak barrels and then 2 more months in the bottle.         Tasting Notes:           Ruby red in color with purple highlights, the wine shows aromas of berries, particularly blueberries and raspberries along with red cherry fruit. The tasty flavors are supple and morbid in texture, and the finish and aftertaste recall the fruity notes of the palate.
