During a visit to the Rheingau in 1841, the esteemed poet, Goethe noted the spectacular character of this vineyard and the wines it produced. The nose of this distinctive Spätlese, opens with juicy pear followed by warm honey and caramel notes. In juxtaposition with this nose, the palate surprises with long lasting, fine yellow fruit aromas closing with tantalizingly bitter-sweet grapefruit.       Technical sheet
