In its heyday of the 1940s, 50s and 60s, the wine's majestic style was often compared to Château Pétrus. Today, it typically compares to Châteaux Trotanoy or Lafleur Pétrus, but at a much lower price. Farmed and managed by the quality-driven Jean-Pierre Moueix firm of Château Pétrus fame, 2012 Latour à Pomerol is a great vintage to cellar and drink from 2020-2032+       Grape varieties : Merlot & Cabernet Franc       Tasting notes :        The 2012 Latour a Pomerol is intensely aromatic and beautifully layered in the glass. Sweet herbs, tobacco, raspberry jam, mint and roasted coffee beans are all laced together. Sensual and inviting, the 2012 is all about subtlety and nuance. Super-ripe black cherries, iron, smoke and tobacco add further complexity. The 2012 deftly balances unctuous richness with terrific aromatic presence and delineation.
